new media poetry and poetics
http://www.arras.net/
Editor: Brian Kim Stephans
Arras: new media poetry and poetics is devoted to exploring how digital technology has impacted the field of experimental poetics. This includes the uses of digital technology to expand the techniques that poets use - whether this be in multimedia, interactivity, algorithmic processes, and digital typefaces - as well as how the web can serve as an alternative distribution source for texts both of poetry and criticism.

http://www2.uol.com.br/augustodecampos/home.htm
[MP]

Dotze sentits: poesia catalana d'avui [1996]
http://www.iua.upf.edu/dotze_sentits/principal.html

Director: Joseph Tabbi
Database Director: Robert Kendall
The Electronic Literature Organization (ELO) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 1999 to promote and facilitate the writing, publishing, and reading of electronic literature. Since its formation, the Electronic Literature Organization has worked to assist writers and publishers in bringing their literary works to a wider, global readership and to provide them with the infrastructure necessary to reach one another. [The Editors]
[MP]

"Emerging Language Practices", published through the Dept. of Media Study, SUNY Buffalo has a number of emphases: digital poetry, media theory, and creative gaming, among them. We accept creative work, critical texts, poetic games, interviews with artists, artist's statements, reviews, and other forms. Our most important mission is to publish emerging visions of poetic, theoretical, game-based, and artistic "language" innovations that circumscribe new media practices in a most unique sense and with affinities to the Electronic Poetry Center (EPC) and historic and emergent poetic/artistic practices at Buffalo.

Moving Poems [2009-present]
http://movingpoems.com/
Editor: Dave Bonta
My main focus here is on videopoetry, “a genre of poetry displayed on a screen, distinguished by its time-based, poetic juxtaposition of text with images and sound,” in Tom Konyves’ most recent formulation. Other names for this genre (or examples of closely related genres, depending on one’s perspective) include filmpoetry, poetry-film and cinepoetry, and animated poems form an important subset. I am especially interested in videopoems created by the poet him- or herself, which can often take ekphrastic form (“Hey, I’ve got some cool footage — let’s see if there’s a poem in it!”), and which grade into active collaborations between poet and filmmaker. I do also post other kinds of poetry videos, too, including poetry readings, spoken word performances, documentaries, poetry dance videos, concert performances of poems set to music, and the occasional interview with a poet. [Dave Bonta]
Nelson, Jason
http://www.heliozoa.com/
[MP]

exploring digital poetry and electronic literature [2009-]
http://netpoetic.com/
Editors: Jason Nelson and Davin Heckman
This is a space, a net workshop, a spinning and feathering space for all manner of digital poetry and poetics and literature. Started/birthed/hurried forth by Jason Nelson and Davin Heckman, we will endeavour to include and play with as many digital poetry/literature writer/theorists/artists as want to play with us.
On these pages you will find links to new digital poetry/literature, ideas about what the heck that might mean, experiments, calls for work, exhibitions, activities, news, his/herstories and just about anything that the authors feel needed.

New Media Poetry and Poetics
Leonardo Electronic Almanac [September 2006]
http://www.leoalmanac.org/journal/vol_14/lea_v14_n05-06/toc.html
Here in this special issue of LEA devoted to New Media Poetry and Poetics, I have compiled a series of articles that give an overview of issues in the field by many of the essential practitioners and critics. These articles address the following questions. How do we define new media poetry? Why does the introduction of digital media necessitate this re-assessment of writing? How does this understanding change the nature of reading? What implications does it have for developing appropriate and illuminating critical responses? What might such critical responses look like? One of the unique aspects of this LEA special issue is the way in which many of the articles model critical readings of such work, addressing how digital media have contributed to an expanded concept of the poem in which code now plays a role, as well as exploring how such poems often derive meaning from their own precarious existence in networked language environments.

poems that GO [2000-2004]
http://www.poemsthatgo.com/index.htm
Editors: Megan Sapnar and Ingrid Ankerson
Although we use the term "new media poetry" as a genre of "electronic literature" to describe the work included in Poems that Go, "literature" itself proves to be a pesky term. Indeed, we have been accused of devaluing the word at the expense of the image. Our goal here is not to elevate one art above the rest, but to seek an inclusive understanding of literature, one that goes beyond written text-based works, to include visual, aural and media literacy.
In this spirit, Poems that Go explores the intersections between motion, sound, image, text, and code. The work we feature explores how language is shaped in new media spaces, how interactivity can change the meaning of a sign, how an image can conflict with a sound, and how code exerts machine-order on a text.

p0es1s is a site for possibilities to expand poetry to the field of hypermedia and the internet. p0es1s presents and reflects the use of languages or semiotic systems within the symbol machine computer and digital networks: hybrid texts between word, image, sound, and their codes and programming. The projects presented here aesthetically gain not so much by operating within its very specific media, as by operating with or against said media. For the users this means poetry, "poesis" in its very literal sense: to make experiences, experiments as aesthetic self-observation and self-creation.

This is a watering hole for new media poetry and fiction--indigenously electronic work that couldn't be realized in print. Hypertext is the mainstay here, but we also deal in more exotic forms of cybertext, which exploit such innovations as text-generating algorithms or animated text that moves and mutates on the screen. Welcome to the world of hypertextual, interactive, self-generating, kinetic, and multimedia poetry and fiction.
